Post officees : Are they going to be extinct in future?

Just out of the blue, yesternight I was thinking about the Indian postal Service. you might be thinking 'What is there to think about it?'.
I was thinking this because just few weeks back I lost my smartphone, which was pretty expansive. I was in love with the piece which costed me my 1 month salary and when I lost it, it felt like shit. trust me I am in dipression since then. So one thought lead to other and I went back to the time when didnt had any phone; as a matter of fact the mode of communication was very limited during my highschools. the most used mode of communication was letters and people used to wait for it eagarly. But suddenly every demographic changed. people who used to wait for letters or any verbal news of their near and dear got all the new modes of communication on their finger tips. now the postcard has been replaced by emails. fax became email and so many others.
I agree that these new methods and modes are more efficient, quick, affordable and reliable but still, i feel something is missing. Somewhere i read that you should have some space in your life, don't you feel that these cutting edge technology is interfaring too much in our lives? the eagrness to exchange some Information, to meet the near or dear one after a long interval has gone. these means reduced the distance i agree but don't you think too much of everything is bad? The interfarance in our day to day life has increased  and has started affecting us in so many ways.
Now the devices are becoming smarter and the mind more dumber.
I know for a fact that many of you will disagree with me but still I want you to limit the use of gadgets in your life and focus on the near or dear ones, around you, or the life will get more difficult.

Because of my so called love towards the Indian Postal Service (which is bad famous for their late deliveries) i would like to suggest the Indian government and the postal dept. to dedicate a day for Indian postal Service, so that we can remember the good old times once again. It can be celebrated as Postal Day and should be promoted as 'Communications the old way'. There are so many things coming in my mind but I will stop now.
Good Night.
